ABOUT SOFAS & UPHOLSTERY

New pieces made to order, or old ones re-covered.

A sofa made to order fits the room it is made for: the length of the wall, the depth you like to sit at, the height of the arms and a fabric that suits how the room is used. We make straight, L-shaped, U-shaped and curved sofas, and upholstered headboards to go with them.

If you already own a good sofa or set of chairs, re-upholstery is often the better buy. We strip it back to the frame, replace sagging webbing and tired foam, and cover it in the fabric you choose, so it comes back firm and new-looking.

    Sofas

Customised sofas in any shape, made to your size and fabric.

A made-to-order sofa starts with your room. We measure the wall, the walkways and the door it has to come through, then size the sofa to fit. You choose the shape (a straight run, an L for a corner, a U around a coffee table, or a curve) along with the seat depth, arm style, cushion fill and legs.

    Headboards

Upholstered headboards made to fit the bed and the wall.

An upholstered headboard makes the bed the centre of the room and gives a soft backrest for reading. We make it to the width of the bed, or wider to run behind the bedside tables, and as tall as the wall calls for, in vertical channels, panels, buttons or a plain padded finish.

    Upholstery

Re-cover and restore the furniture you already have.

A good frame outlasts its fabric and foam by years, and re-upholstery gives it a second life. We strip off the old cover, replace sagging webbing, springs and tired foam, tighten loose joints, and cover the piece in new fabric. It sits like new, and often costs less than a new piece of the same quality.
