What to know.
A made-to-order sofa starts with your room. We measure the wall, the walkways and the door it has to come through, then size the sofa to fit. You choose the shape (a straight run, an L for a corner, a U around a coffee table, or a curve) along with the seat depth, arm style, cushion fill and legs.
Fabric matters as much as shape. For family rooms we suggest performance fabrics that resist stains and fading; for formal rooms, linens, weaves and velvets. You see and feel the fabric in our store before anything is cut.

Straight
A single run of seats along one wall, from a compact two-seater to a long lounge sofa, sized to the wall it stands against. It is the easiest shape to place and to move, and it leaves the rest of the room open.

L-shaped
Two runs that meet at a corner, often with one end drawn out as a chaise to put your feet up. It makes use of a corner that would otherwise sit empty, and seats a family without crowding the room.

U-shaped
Seating on three sides of a coffee table, so everyone faces in. It seats the most people for the floor it takes, and makes a natural home theatre or conversation corner in a large living room or lounge.
